Abstract
This project work identifies Oroni in Abiriba, Ohafia Local Government Area of Abia State as an area that is badly affected by gully erosion, the work also identifies the cause of the gully erosion at Oroni as poor channel construction at the site which makes the discharge from upstream to flow in another direction thereby creating a parallel channel instead of the installed channels. A new design of soil erosion control system for Oroni, Abiriba, Ohafia Local Government Area was proposed and various field and laboratory tests were carried out which include particle size analysis, atterberg limits, specific gravity and moisture content. The proposed trapezoidal channel to be designed must carry discharge of 2.5m3 /s with bottom width of 0.8m and depth of 0.4m, respectively to convey the run off safely to the outlet (nearest river). When these measures are properly implemented, the erosion occurring at the study site should have been effectively controlled.

Abstract
The study examined the factors of distraction among motorcycle riders in Ijebu-Igbo with the aim of cnature of the observed loss of concentration. It was recorded that sightseeing constituted the highest observable N-RA with 57.3% of the observed riders being youth. Also, loss of concentration was recorded among 31.6% of the observed riders. Significant relationships between loss of concentration and some of the N-RAs were established, thus establishing the contributory role of these N-RAs to potential motorcycle crashes. The study suggested the need to create awareness on the danger of distracted riding. This can be done by educating the entire association of commercial motorcyclists on the need to be more coordinated while riding. More practical implication is the need for Nigerian Police and Federal Road Safety Corp to create special attention to riders of motorcycles who may be found engaging in some noticeable non-riding activity when riding is on-going.

Abstract
This paper examines the concept of the middle belt dream as articulated through acts of narrative
remembering in both digital and physical public spheres. Focusing on a generation of individuals between
the ages of twenty and forty, the Paper examines how this demographic constructs a collective middle belt
identity through their narratives. By analyzing the diverse ways in which the middle belt dream is
conceptualized and expressed, this Paper argues that a network of counter-narratives shapes these
imaginings. Ultimately, the Paper contends that it is within this network of circulated narratives that the
social self of the middle belt is actively produced and negotiated.
Keywords: Counter-Narrative, middle belt dream
