Open roles

  1. Editor — Lead a journal or a subject section. Responsibilities: oversee peer review, make editorial decisions, set scope, mentor associate editors.
  2. Reviewer — Provide timely, constructive peer reviews. Responsibilities: evaluate submissions, deliver evidence-based reports, follow reviewer guidelines.
  3. Advisor — Strategic guidance for journal development, indexing strategy, and partnerships. Responsibilities: advise on policy, special issues, and network-building.
  4. National Representative — Promote IRPG journals in a country/region; build editorial/reviewer networks; liaise with institutions.
  5. Editorial Assistant — Administrative and production support for editors and authors. Responsibilities: manage submissions, communications, copyediting coordination, basic metadata entry.
  6. Acquisition Executive — Grow journal portfolio and partnerships; secure special-issue proposals and institutional agreements.
  7. Other — Suggest another way you can help (volunteer roles, internships, technical roles). Tell us your idea and we’ll consider fit.

  2. Triage by IRPG staff.
  3. Shortlisted candidates: interview or sample request.
  4. Final decision and onboarding. Typical time from application to decision: 0–15 days depending on role.
